The Process Portal is a web client that provides access to Process Models, Workflows, Tasks and related information in your web browser. It shares a similar structure with the FireStart Client.
Key things to know:
- Its not possible to create models in the Process Portal. Users can only view them.
- Only published Process Models are visible in the Process Portal. Make sure to publish any Model you want to access there.
- It acts as a Task Portal, where users can view and finish all their Tasks.
- Starting a Process is possible directly from the Portal via the Startable Processes menu, provided the Process has been published beforehand.
- The Portal requires an Active Directory user — anonymous access is not supported.
- The Portal can be configured via the init.json file, located at
<FireStartInstallDir>\FireStart Resources\PROLOGICS Process Portal. See the full list of parameters here. -

Admin Settings
The Admin Settings are accessible to users with root-level permissions or membership in the Admin AD Group. They contain two sections:
Substitution Rule Configuration: Enable this option to allow end-users to create their own substitution rules for tasks in the Process Portal. See this article for more info: Set up a Substitution Rule
Default Widget Configuration: Configure the default Dashboard layout for all users. Arrange the widgets as needed and either save the layout as the default for new users, or force-apply it to all existing users.
